    Tyres & Wheels

Your tyres are the only part of your vehicle in constant contact with the road, making their condition fundamental to braking, steering and overall safety. Worn, damaged or incorrectly inflated tyres can significantly affect the way your vehicle handles, particularly in wet or difficult driving conditions.

At JLE Autos, we provide tyre repairs and replacements for cars and light commercial vehicles, with tyres available to suit a wide range of vehicles and budgets. Whether you need a puncture repaired, a single replacement tyre or a complete set, we’ll help you choose the right option for your vehicle and the way you use it.

    Tyre Safety & Condition

Good tyres aren’t simply about meeting the legal minimum. Tread depth, tyre pressure, age and general condition can all affect grip, braking distance, steering response and stability. Cracks, bulges, uneven wear or repeated loss of pressure can indicate that a tyre needs attention even when there appears to be plenty of tread remaining.

If you’re unsure about the condition of your tyres, we’ll be happy to inspect them and give you straightforward advice. Where a tyre remains safe and suitable for repair, we’ll tell you – replacement isn’t always necessary.

    Puncture & Tyre Repairs

A puncture doesn’t automatically mean you need a new tyre. Depending on the position and extent of the damage, the condition of the tyre and whether it has been driven while underinflated, a professional repair may be possible.

We’ll inspect the tyre before recommending a repair and will only repair it where it can be done safely. Damage to areas such as the sidewall, or a tyre that has suffered significant structural damage, will normally require replacement.

    Replacement Tyres for Every Budget

We can supply and fit tyres across a range of price points, from good-value budget options through to premium tyres from leading manufacturers. We’ll help you choose according to your vehicle, annual mileage, driving requirements and budget rather than simply recommending the most expensive option.

Price isn’t the only consideration when choosing a tyre. Different tyres can offer different characteristics in terms of wet-weather grip, braking performance, road noise, ride comfort, durability and rolling resistance. Choosing the right tyre can therefore make a noticeable difference not only to safety, but also to the comfort and economy of your vehicle.

Uneven Tyre Wear, Steering & Tracking

Uneven or unusually rapid tyre wear isn’t always a problem with the tyre itself. Incorrect wheel alignment or tracking can cause tyres to wear unevenly and may also affect steering feel, vehicle stability and fuel economy.

If we notice an unusual wear pattern while inspecting or replacing your tyres, we’ll let you know. Correcting the underlying cause can help protect your replacement tyres and ensure you get the maximum useful life from them.

    Choosing the Right Tyres

There’s no single tyre that’s right for every driver. A vehicle used mainly for short journeys around Gloucester may have very different requirements from one regularly covering motorway mileage, carrying heavier loads or being driven for business.

At JLE Autos, we’ll help you balance safety, performance, comfort, economy and price to find tyres appropriate for both your vehicle and your budget. Our aim is to provide practical advice and a safe, cost-effective solution – not simply to sell you the most expensive tyres available.

Need a puncture repaired or think your tyres may be due for replacement? Give us a call on 01452 699044 or get in touch and we’ll be happy to check them and advise on the options available.
