When you book a service with JLE Autos, we do far more than simply change the engine oil and filter. Our comprehensive service covers more than 50 individual checks and service procedures across your vehicle, including the engine, brakes, steering and suspension, tyres, electrical systems, transmission, exhaust, interior and safety-related components.
The checklist below shows exactly what’s included. It’s a thorough, methodical approach designed to identify wear, developing faults and maintenance requirements while helping to keep your vehicle safe, reliable and performing as it should.
Lights & Electrical System
- Check operation of exterior lights
- Check rear reflectors
- Check operation of instrument warning lamps
- Check illumination of dash & heater control lamps
- Check battery condition & connections
- Check horn
Interior & Visibility
- Check door/bonnet lock operation & lubricate locks, hinges & catches
- Check windscreen wipers & washer conditions & operation
- Top up windscreen washer reservoir with additive if required
- Check/Advise pollen filter condition, replace if necessary
- Check AdBlue – top up if required
Engine
- Drain engine oil & refill
- Replace oil filter

- Check/Adjust valve clearances (if fitted)
- Visual check of fuel system (incl. tank and cap)
- Check timing belt replacement interval & report if due according to mileage/age

- Check operation
- Check/Advise brake fluid level & boiling point
- Top up brake fluid if required
- Visual check of brake pads for wear or damage
- Visual check of brake callipers for leaks and security
- Visual check of brake discs, shoes & cylinders for wear or damage
- Visual check of brake pipes & hoses
- Check operation of handbrake
- Check security of handbrake linkages & travel, adjust if required
Steering & Suspension
- Check condition of road springs
- Check steering/suspension components for wear and corrosion

- Check shock absorber condition & mounting, report any leaks

- Remove all road wheels & check flanges and mountings
- Check wheel nut torque to manufacturer's specification
Final Checks
- Carry out engine management system scan
- Reset vehicle service light where applicable
- Stamp service book
